Music Ministry

“I will sing and make music with all my soul.” ~ Psalm 108:1

Music is an essential part of worship at WHUMC. Music lifts the soul, opens our hearts, unites our spirits and enriches our lives. Membership in all of our music groups is open to anyone who has a love of expressing praise to God through music.

The Chancel Choir: This choir is open to all adults and provides music for weekly Worship Services (approximately 46 Sundays a year) and special services during the year. The music includes traditional, contemporary, gospel and spirituals. Practices are on Thursday from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Gideon’s Call: Open for any adult or youth who enjoy singing contemporary music. This group leads 9:00 a.m. Worship Services year round and occasionally will sing at the 11:00 a.m. Worship Service and other special services during the year.
